Since lockdown restrictions and social distancing measures were introduced in mid March 2020, Splinter have shifted our weekly plays at Tempe Jets to an online platform. Each week we’re meeting in this strange ‘non-place’ to try and make meaningful connections and creations with each other. On this page you’ll find projects, audio and/or visual experiments, and other forms of documentation that have been born of this time.
Splinter’s Bonnie Stewart and Bàrbara Guzmàn-Galeb are amongst 16 artists from the Australian music scene speaking with Stephen Adams about staying creative and connected in these times of physical and social isolation. Both Bonnie and Bàrbara had to make the hard decision to pack up and leave Australia in March to return to NZ and Chile respectively.
Avantwhatever 2020 Festival is taking place online from July 8-12, 2020. Splinter have a work that will be presented on Sunday July 12th, at 3pm.
